چکیده

An alternative laterite nickel ore processing using sulfuric acid as a leaching agent to produce class 1 raw material for electric vehicle batteries produces natrojarosite residue by-product during the precipitation of iron and aluminum step. The contained high sulfur, which is challenging utilize an source steel manufacturing since sulfur can contaminate product. This study focuses on elimination extraction from natrojarosite. was roasted removal isothermally at different temperatures ranging 500 until 1100 °C 4 h. Extraction of Iron and Manganese from Pyrolusite Absorption Residue by Ammonium Sulphate Roasting–Leaching Process

The residue from desulfurization and denitrification of exhaust gas treatment process with pyrolusite ore as absorbent is regarded as a potential source of iron and manganese. In this study, an extraction process is proposed for recovery of iron and manganese with ammonium sulphate roasting followed by sulphuric acid leaching. Firstly, the conversion mechanism was analyzed through mineral phase...

Dissolution of Nickel and Cobalt from Iron-Rich Laterite Ores Using Different Organic Acids

Due to the decreasing production of nickel and cobalt from sulfide sources, the Ni and Co extraction from the oxide ores (laterites) have become more prevalent. In this research work, the effects of calcination prior to leaching, acid concentration, percent solid, pH, and stirring speed on the nickel and cobalt recoveries from an iron-rich laterite ore sample were investigated using diffe...

Vanadium extraction from a magnetite ore using alkaline roasting and acid leaching processes: optimization of parameters by response surface methodology

In this work, thealkaline roasting and sulfuric acid leaching processes were employed to extract vanadium from the magnetite ore of Saghand mine in central Iran. The response surface methodology based on the central composite design model was applied to optimize the parameters involved in the processes. The studied roasting parameters were temperature (900-1100 °C), sodium carbonate percentage ...

Characterization of Sangan low-grade iron ore and its processing by dry low-intensity magnetic separation

In Sangan iron mine nearly two million tons of low-grade iron ore has been extracted and deposited in the mining site and currently no action is made on them. On the other hand, the mining site is located in the semi-arid region and wet processing has been restricted due to water shortage. In this research, the upgradation of Sangan low-grade iron ore from mine B has been performed by dry low-i...
